The Clark Art Museum is hosting a simulcast of artist Titus Kaphar’s lecture, “Making Space for Black History: Amending the Landscape of American Art,” today, Feb. 1, at 2PM. Kaphar touches on questions of artistic inclusivity and the impact of artistic expression, asking: Can art amend history? Is it possible to create new artifacts from the physical residues and inadequacies of the past?
The artist has been creating moving and thoughtful pieces surrounding the idea of inclusivity and social structures for 18 years. You can explore more of Kaphar’s projects here.
