Protest: Street Photography of the 60s-70s

Protest: Street Photography of the 60s-70s

Curated by Maureen Sager and Stephen J. Tyson, this exhibition of photography at the Spring Street Gallery in Saratoga Springs aims to celebrate and reflect on the right to gather and protest. The photos by Nicholas Amplo and Dave Tyson portray the 1965 Selma march, 1967 Mobilization against the Vietnam War and 1970 Women’s Rights march. The curators also encourage visitors to the exhibit to bring along their own protest photography to hang up in the gallery to address the question: “How far have we come — or haven’t we?”

The exhibit opens Saturday, Jan. 26 at 3PM.
