Saturday: Pearlpalooza street festival in downtown Albany

Turn out for one of Albany’s largest free street festivals on Saturday, Sept. 16. WEQX is bringing in national acts like K. Flay, Rubblebucket (pictured above), Arkells and Colony House as well as local acts like Kimono Dragon. They’ll shred onstage along with Hasty Page and Front Business–the winners of Lucky Strike Social’s Battle of the Bands. The party starts bright and early at Stacks Espresso Bar at 7 AM with a live broadcast of “The Coffee House.”  This year’s Pearlpalooza introduces the first Acoustic Garden set in DiNapoli Park where you can enjoy a cup o’ joe and some mellow tunes, away from the hustle on Pearl, starting around 11 AM. Or, at the same time, you can get your stretch on at YogaPalooza–a free, one-hour mass yoga event on Pearl–and prep for the lineup to come:

Hasty Page – 1 PM (O’Connell & Aronowitz stage)
Front Business – 1:30 PM (Remarkable Liquids stage)
Kimono Dragons – 2 PM (O’Connell & Aronowitz stage)
Colony House – 3 PM (Remarkable Liquids stage)
Arkells – 4 PM (O’Connell & Aronowitz stage)
Rubblebucket – 5 PM (Remarkable Liquids stage)
K.Flay – 6 PM (Remarkable Liquids stage)
