It’s hard to believe Berben and Wolff’s has only been open for one year, as it’s already become a staple of the collective Lark Street menu and a prime meetup spot for Albany punk and indie kids. The place is renowned for converting vegan skeptics at the bite of a wing burger, and on Saturday the seitan sorcerers will be celebrating their anniversary in true punk fashion; a gig. Albany’s latest indie-punk-poppers Hate Club (featuring members of Slowshine and Jasper) will be playing alongside hardcore punk upstarts New Life at the Savoy Taproom on Lark. The party also promises DJ’s spinning punk, soul, mod and trojan reggae, which is a musical encapsulation of the restaurant’s diverse menu.
