Browsing Poison’s album sales during their ’80s prime is a vivid reminder of how drastically the music industry has changed over the past 30 years. A rock band’s sophomore effort going quintuple platinum–or any artist’s record attaining those kind of numbers–in this age is virtually impossible, but Poison did it and they’re still touring arenas today. Tonight at 7:30PM, they’ll be joined by Tesla, whom also have numerous platinum albums to their name, at the Times Union Center in Albany where the two of them will be blasting through the pop-metal jams of yesteryore. Neither band has put out material in a handful of years so fans should expect a setlist full of the hits. If you close your eyes, you might even be able to smell the exhaust from your high-school Camaro.
