Daily Event Update #2–Because it’s Friday

Brainfeeder DJ Lapalux brings his cinematic, sci fi, beatscapes to EMPAC tonight with a special set bolstered by immersive cinematic projections. Editor David Howard King interviewed the British DJ for our latest issue.”I like to keep a distance from the venue so that either it’s a nice surprise or it’s a shithole and I’m asking ‘What the fuck am I doing here?’ I like to keep my mind open,” Lapalux told King. He’s in for a pleasant surprise at EMPAC. Lapalux hits the stage at 8 PM. Tickets are $18.

The annual “Mountain Snow and Mistletoe” concerts were a local holiday staple for decades, and the tradition continues tonight at 8 PM at the Egg with the Mountain Snow Orchestra featuring Kevin McKrell, Brian Melick and John Kirk.

If you prefer a naughtier good time, then check out Pop Culture Provocateurs (PCP, get it?) Burlesque Revue at Albany’s Fuze Box. William Hughes hosts, with gogo by Persephone Pomme.
